DATS were asked to collaborate on a design project for London’s prestigious 10 Trinity Square building. The requirement was for a curved balustrade mounted on glass panels, to be located in the building’s rotunda.
Working from dimensioned AutoCAD drawings, our goal was to model the balustrade’s intricate structure in 3D, using plans, elevations and section views of the proposed arrangement as a guideline.
Using SolidWorks, we first modelled the balustrade and from this created full manufacturing drawings showing the handrail in flat plan, elevation and isometric views, providing a detailed breakdown of the constituent parts as well as the full assembly.
As a result, our client was able to successfully manufacture and install the balustrade at 10 Trinity Square.
