DATS were approached to create a 3D model for waterproof housing for circuit boards and removable batteries that would fit onto their existing remote-controlled river surveying device.
Our task was to take the idea from its initial sketch and produce a 3D prototype that could be printed in time to be shown at a trade show in America. We were working under a tight deadline so finding an efficient solution was crucial.
Using Autodesk Inventor, we created a 3D model of the housing assembly. From this we produced a step file which was then sent off for 3D Printing.
We delivered the package of work to Xylem’s specifications within the deadline.
